Academic information: university, field of study, year of study, and internship preferences (field, city, duration).
Placement and visa information: CV, cover letter, passport details, and supporting documents. These are collected only after you decide to proceed with a placement.
Technical information: IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
3. Legal Basis (for users in the European Economic Area and the UK)
We process your data based on: (a) your consent (for example, when you submit a form or chat with us); (b) contract necessity (to deliver the placement services you request); (c) our legitimate interests (to operate and improve our services); and (d) legal obligations (for example, visa and immigration compliance).
4. Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only when necessary and only with: (a) Host companies in Indonesia and China, for placement and onboarding. (b) Your university, for academic approval and supervision. (c) Visa and immigration service providers and relevant authorities, to process your visa and permits. (d) Service providers that support our operations (web hosting, email, chat and communication tools, accommodation partners). (e) These parties are expected to protect your data and use it only for the purposes described.
5. International Data Transfers
InternBIZ operates in Indonesia and places interns in Indonesia and China. Your data may therefore be transferred outside your home country, including outside the European Economic Area and the UK. Where required, we rely on your explicit consent, the necessity of the transfer to deliver your requested services, or other appropriate safeguards.
6. Data Retention
We keep your data only as long as needed for the purposes above, including our legal and administrative obligations. Enquiries that do not lead to a placement are kept for up to [12] months, then deleted or anonymized. Placement records are kept for [period, e.g. 5 years] for compliance and academic verification purposes.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to request a copy of your data.
